Scholastic Bowl Team Wins Conference 35 Championship

On Saturday, Jan. 16 Mason’s Scholastic Bowl team competed and won the Conference 35 championship, beating Central (305-60) and then Clarke County twice at Strasburg High School.

The Monday before the conference tournament, January 11, was the last regular season meet, where Mason beat Clarke County and Rappahannock County (180-165) at Central High School. These big wins completed their Bull Run District regular season with an undefeated 12-0 record and the Bull Run District regular season championship.

Mason’s leading scorers this season have been juniors Jimmy Ferguson and Joseph Snitzer, with junior Annie Parnell and senior Cole Casteel also contributing significant scoring in the tossup rounds.
