Congressional School Hosts Annual Day of Service

The Congressional Schools of Virginia hosted its 2nd Annual Service Day on Monday, Jan. 18, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, as part of the National Day of Service. The volunteer effort lasted from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and benefited several local organizations.

Volunteers made 240 240 Power Packs for students at Sleepy Hollow Elementary, delivered five boxes of clothes, jackets, socks and shoes to Willston Multicultural Center, made 28 creative pillowcases for children at Inova Children’s Hospital and provided assistance to three organizations at the Jewish Community Center through Volunteer Fairfax.
