Record-Setting 15 F.C. Boy Scouts Achieve Highest Rank

According to an email from Boy Scout Troop 895, which is based in the City of Falls Church and chartered by Falls Church Presbyterian Church, 15 members of the troop achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. The amount of scouts reaching that rank is the highest number the troops has ever produced.

The 15 scouts, Nathan Royce, Brandon Castillo, Jackson Dillard, Chris Markus, Tyler Gogal,  Alex Pelaez, Logan Nesson, Matthew Hoskins, Daniel Butler, George Castillo, Matt Dillard, Jacob Bruner, James Schneider, Grant Goodwin and Douglas Bossart, provided over 1,776 hours of service to 13 different community organizations in and around Falls Church while leading their Eagle Service projects. 

The projects benefited Falls Church and Fairfax County schools, the Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department, Mary Riley Styles Public Library, the WO&D bike trail, several local churches, two Little League districts, a women and children shelter, the Brother’s Brother Foundation and the Columbia Baptist Food Bank.
