Fairfax Police Dept. Hosts Community Clean-Up Day

More than 60 residents of Fairfax County and students from J.E.B. Stuart High School joined members of the Fairfax County police officers, Fairfax County Sheriff’s deputies and Fairfax County Park Authority members on Saturday, Jan. 9 to clean up the area of Hogge Park in Bailey’s Crossroads.

After meeting at Saint Anthony’s Church, the volunteers gathered about 70 bags of trash, according to a press release from the Fairfax County Police Department. In a press release about the clean up event, the Fairfax County Police Department thanked the members of the community who volunteered in the clean up effort.

The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Community Labor Force and Fairfax County Park Authority are working together with local Home Owners Associations to continue the effort to clean up downed trees and invasive plants and trash throughout the month.
