George Mason HS Hosts Panel About College Drinking

George Mason High School hosted parents and students of the schools’ community for a movie screening and panel discussion about the perils of college drinking culture on Tuesday, Jan. 5, presented by the United Prevention Coalition. Students and parents watched a screening of the film “HAZE,” which was followed by a panel discussion featuring a college counselor, a physician, a police officer and Mason alumnus.

Casey Lingan, Chief Deputy, Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County, William Hauda, M.D., emergency physician, INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Dan Pang, Fairfax County Police Department Sergeant, School Resource Officer supervisor, Community Resources Division, Jeff Levy, parent and Austin Gogal, Mason class of 2014 and a second year student at the University of Virginia were featured on the panel.

The event was sponsored by Mason’s athletic department and the school’s All Night Graduation Celebration committee.
