F.C. Elementary Students Do Community Service

F.C. Elementary Students Do Community Service

The Falls Church Elementary Parent Teacher Association has started a new initiative to get students involved in community service and global citizenship. The campaign began in December and concludes on G.I.V.E. (Get Involved, Value Everyone) Day, Monday, Jan. 18, which is the Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday.

The G.I.V.E. Day campaign will be held at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, where school supplies collected before the break for the holiday and hygiene supplies collected throughout the campaign will be packed for children in Haiti.

Parents and students can drop off hygiene packets in classrooms at Jessie Thackrey Preschool, Mount Daniel School and TJ. For more information, visit fcepta.org.
