F.C. Library Announces Annual Fund Drive

The Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation Trusts announced on Thursday, Dec. 17, its annual fund drive and asked that members of the local community consider a tax-deductible donation to support the award-winning library.  Donations help supplement the funding received from the City government.

In recent years, contributors have funded the wireless networking capability at the library, purchased additional books, books-on-disc, eBooks, eAudiobooks and DVDs for the collection, paid for the prizes given to young adults who won the library sponsored poetry contest, funded a new self-checkout station and helped start and continue the downloadable Freegal collection that allows patrons five free downloadable songs a week which they then own.

Donations may be directed to immediate needs or to the endowment that has been established by the foundation to provide a future guaranteed stream of income for the library.

Contributions can be mailed, with checks made out to the MRSPL Foundation Trust, to MRSPL Foundation Trust Treasurer at P.O. Box 321, Falls Church. All contributions will be acknowledged by latter which can serve as the donor’s receipt. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov/668/Foundation-Trust.
