Mason Junior Annie Parnell Wins Poetry Out Loud Event

George Mason High School junior Annie Parnell won the 9th Annual Poetry Out Loud Recitation Competition at the school last week. Mason freshman Grace Keenan came in second place in the competition.

The George Mason High School Jazz Ensemble performed throughout the event. Parnell will now move on to the regional phase of the competition, which will be held at Arlington’s Signature Theatre, located at 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington, on Friday, Jan. 22.
