Langston-Brown Hosts Melanoma Screening Workshop

The Langston-Brown Community and Senior Center and Park, located at 2121 N. Culpeper St., Arlington, is hosting a workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. – noon aimed at teaching senior citizens how to designate between changes in the skin that are normal and abnormal.

Called Melanoma Versus Age Spots, the workshop will be taught by Stephanie Scharnweber, a representative from Griswold Home Care, who will teach how seniors how they can regularly screen their skin for changes. She will also discuss the importance of skin care.
