The City of Falls Church will be lighting up its trees on the 100 and 200 block of W. Broad Street this evening at sundown. According to City Arborist Katherine Reich, the trees are set to automatically light up when it gets dark, which should be between 4:51 p.m. and 5:20 p.m., according to weather.com. Based on feedback about last year’s tree decoration, in which Christmas lights were hung in the branches of the trees on W. Broad Street, the City has wrapped the seasonal lights around the trunks of the trees in downtown Falls Church City. The lights will we remain on the trees throughout the holidays and will be removed on March 23, 2016.
