F.C. City, Schools Announce 2 Proposals Received for Upper West Property Development

Friday afternoon, the City of Falls Church and Falls Church City School Board announced they had received two responses to its Request for Proposals for the replacement of the existing George Mason High School; expansion of the existing Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School; and redevelopment and commercialization of a portion of the school campus to generate revenue to help fund the capital costs of the new and expanded school facilities, create a sense of place, and bring desirable commercial activity and amenities to the City.

According to Friday’s announcement, a preliminary review will be conducted to confirm that the proposals are complete and comply with the technical requirements of the request. When that is finished the public content of the proposals will be posted on the City website and on the School website.
