Mason Row Could Command Mosaic Rents, Developer Says

Speaking before the F.C. Planning Commission Monday night, Mason Row developer Peter Batten of the Spectrum Group said that with the inclusion of a quality retailer like the smaller, urban movie theater they want to put there, the project could command the kind of rents that retailers and residents are being charged at the Mosaic complex in Merrifield. There would be eight screens in the theater, which would be half the size of a typical theater complex, he said. Taking out the theater would have very little effect on the impact of the project in the neighborhood, he added.

There was no vote taken on the project at Monday’s meeting.
