4th Phase of S. West Street Reconstruction Underway

The fourth phase of the South West Street roadbed reconstruction project is set to begin today, Oct. 8 and is expected to last one to two weeks. During the latest phase, South West Street will be closed from Parker Street to Ellison Street and a detour for through traffic will run from Parker Avenue to Ellison Street to Madison Lane. Residents along South West Street within the work zone will be provided access to their homes on an as-needed basis during work hours. Parker Street and Parker Avenue will be closed at their intersections with South West and parking along the north side of Madison Lane and within the work zone will be temporarily restricted.

The five-phase City project is reconstructing aging infrastructure along S. West St. and repairing stormwater facility crossings and failing pavement when needed.
