Crime Report: 5 Cars in Falls Church Broken Into Last Week

There was a string of thefts from cars in the City of Falls Church last week as five motor vehicles were reported to have been broken into and had items stolen or ransacked. According to the latest crime report, four cars were tampered with on Wednesday, Sept. 30, resulting in two stolen wallets and stolen personal items. Two of the cars were parked on Grove Ave., one on Parker St. and the other on Poplar Dr.  Then, on Saturday, Oct. 3, a computer was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at the Stratford Motor Lodge.

In other crime, a window at Starbucks was smashed with a brick, candy bars were stolen from Rite-Aid and someone shoplifted some vodka from the ABC Store on Broad St.

City of Falls Church Crime Report: September 28 – October 4, 2015

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 100 block Parker St. On Sep. 30, a wallet was reported stolen for the victim’s vehicle.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 500 block Poplar Dr. On Sep. 30, a wallet was reported stolen for the victim’s vehicle.

Tampering with Auto, 300 block Grove Ave. On Sep. 30, a car was found in disarray after being left unsecured.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block Grove Ave. On Sep. 30, personal items were reported stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Trespass, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Sep. 30, a male, 38, of Annandale, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Vandalism, 101 N. Spring St. (St. James Church) On Oct. 1, police received a report of vandalism to a statue.

Driving Under the Influence, 201 N. Washington St. On Oct. 1, police responded to a one vehicle accident. The driver, a male, 28, of Oak Hill, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Shoplifting, 1003 W. Broad St. (Rite-Aid) On Oct. 2, police received a report of candy bars stolen from the store.

Vandalism, 344 W. Broad St. (Starbucks) On Oct. 2, police received a report of an unknown male smashing a window with a brick.

Public Drunkenness, 306 Hillwood Ave. On Oct. 2, a male, 38, of Falls Church,was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 300 W. Broad St. (Stratford Motor Lodge) On Oct. 3, police received a report of a computer stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Assault, 370 W. Broad St. (Famous Daves) On Oct. 3, a male, 49, of Ashburn, was arrested for Assault.

Shoplifting, 1212 W. Broad St. (Virginia ABC Store) On Oct. 4, police received a report of shoplifting of a vodka bottle.
