The City of Falls Church Housing and Human Services division will conduct a lottery for 18 rental units designated for persons or families who qualify for “affordable housing” according to the City’s formula. The lottery will be held on Oct. 27, but applicants have until Oct. 22 at noon to be considered. Applications for prospective applicants are available from the City’s website, www.fallschurchva.gov/Rental and in the office of the HHS at City Hall.
One rental unit is currently available at Pearson Square, and there are 18 units slated to become available on a staggered schedule basis at the Rushmark 301 W. Broad project currently under construction. There are two junior one bedroom lunits, eight one bedroom, two one bedroom with den and six two bedroom units that will be available. Income requirements range between $35,220 to $78,624 for one bedroom, and $78,625 to $120,120 for the two bedroom units.
