Artists of all ages will be gathering around the city starting Saturday, Oct. 10 to paint the windows of local businesses during the 8th Annual Halloween Store Window Painting Festival, which will take place October 10, 11 and 17. Last year more than 100 painters took part in the spooky Little City tradition, decorating 150 business windows, a record the organizers of the event are hoping to beat this year, they said in an email to the News-Press.

Registration is required and can be done by visiting halloweenfc.com, by contacting Marty Behr, the festival’s coordinator, at behrmarty29@gmail.com or by mail at 412 N. Cherry St., Falls Church.

Paint will be supplied by Falls Church Arts in partnership with the Falls Church City Recreation and Parks Department, the Falls Church City Chamber of Commerce and the Business in Education Partnership. For more information, visit halloweenfc.com.
