Children, Adults Become ‘Makers’ at Virginia Tech Festival

Families from around the region converged on the Falls Church campus of Virginia Tech’s Northern Virginia Center on Saturday, Sept. 26 for the Makers Festival. The festival, which was put on by Virginia Tech in conjunction with the Virginia Science Festival that runs through October 30, featured several activities designed to catalyze interest in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Children – and even parents in some instances – enjoyed activities such as robot piloting, bridge designing and 3D printing. Check out our photo gallery from the event below.
