VPIS Announces Fall Tree Planting Schedule

Falls Church tree planting volunteers will have a robust planting list this fall, according to a statement released by the F.C. Village Preservation and Improvement Society this week. Each event will begin with a brief demonstration and refreshments before teams fan out to plant trees. Dirt-friendly clothes, boots or heavy shoes and gloves are among the things suggested, and those with a long-handled shovel are encouraged to bring it. Still, there will be plenty of extra tools, and children must be chaperoned.
