F.C.’s Taco Bamba Makes ‘Best Tacos in America’ List
Falls Church’s own Taco Bamba was recognized as one of the 50 best taco joints in America in a new list from Business Insider. The news website used Foursquare user data to compile the list which included independent stores as well as the top-rated location of various chain restaurants.
Taco Bamba, which was ranked 48th on the list, was cited for its popular eponymous steak-and-chorizo tacos as well its lengua and tripa options.
Chef Victor Albisu first opened the small taqueria in a small Pimmit Hills strip mall in the summer of 2013. Albisu, who also leads the kitchen at his Washington, D.C. restaurant Del Campo, was recently named Chef of the Year at the RAMMY Awards this past June.
District Taco, with locations in Alexandria, Arlington, Dunn Loring and D.C., was ranked 31st.
