F.C. Site Registering Girls for After School Running Program

Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia is now registering girls at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School for their curriculum-based after school program. By using a curriculum that creatively integrates running with life lessons, Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia aims to support girls in grades 3 – 8 in developing the confidence and character they need to become strong, healthy women.

Girls on the Run NOVA is offering discounts for active duty and retired military families. In addition, the organization is bringing back special discounts for families registering two or more siblings. Financial aid is also available based on household income.

Families can register for Girls on the Run NOVA by visiting gotrnova.org until Sept. 21, 2015. In order to see if the program is offered as your school, visit gotrnova.org/images/new-families/FA15_Sites.pdf. If your school is not listed, there is still time to start a team.
