Mad Fox Names Ryan New Lead Brewer
It’s been a busy few weeks for Mad Fox Brewing Company. Just weeks after opening its second location in Washington, D.C.’s Glover Park neighborhood, the Falls Church restaurant has announced Matt Ryan as its new lead brewer. Ryan, former lead brewer of Capitol City Brewing Company, takes over for Brad Hulewicz who left to head up a new brewery in Crozet, Va.
Ryan joins Mad Fox CEO and executive brewer Bill Madden who, coincidentally, also worked at Capitol City, spending close to 10 years as executive brewer of the Shirlington brew pub.
“I like beers that surprise people, and make them smile,” Ryan said in a press release. “I look forward to working with Bill, as I am well aware of his success and stature in the industry, particularly coming from one of the ‘houses that Bill built,’ at Capitol City.”
