Crime Report: Smashburger Robbery, Domestic Assault & More Theft

The biggest news in the latest City of Falls Church Crime Report is the after-hours armed robbery of Smashburger on S. Washington St. last Friday night. In other crime, there were a several alcohol-related arrests including a DUI and two drunk in publics, there was a domestic assault reported on W. Broad St. and items stolen this week include construction equipment from W. Jefferson St., clothes from New to You and a laptop from George Mason High School.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: June 22 – 28, 2015

Driving Under the Influence, 1000 block Hillwood Ave. On June 22, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 35, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny from Building, 200 block W. Jefferson St. On June 22, construction equipment was reported stolen.

Public Drunkenness, 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. On June 22, a male, 55, no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness, 624 S. Washington St. (Crown Auto Group) On June 22, a male, 46, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Domestic Assault, 1100 block W. Broad St. On June 23, police investigated a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, a male, of Falls Church, was later arrested for Assaulting a Family Member.

Shoplifting, 108 W. Broad St. (New to You) On June 24, clothing merchandise was stolen from the store.

Larceny from Building, 7124 Leesburg Pike (George Mason High School) On June 25, a laptop computer was reported stolen sometime after June 15.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Café Le Mirage) On June 25, a male, 48, of Aldie, was cited for Smoking in a Non-Designated Area.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 200 block Gibson St. On June 26, an unknown suspect punctured a tire.

Robbery, 308 S. Washington St. (Smashburger) On June 26, an unknown suspect demanded cash from the store during closing hours with an implied weapon.
