Inaugural Mid-Summer Festival Slated For July 12 at The Falls Church

UPDATE: The original report has been updated to correct information about who administers the Young Musicians Scholarship Fund. It is administered by the Falls Church City Band Boosters, which supports all of the band programs at the City’s schools.

The Falls Church Episcopal at 115 E. Fairfax Street is hosting its inaugural Mid-Summer Festival on Saturday, July 12, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. The free festival will include a Dixieland Jazz band, two water slides, face painting, bubbles and snow cones, according to a press release sent out about the new event.

Beverages and snacks will be available, but participants were also invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the church’s grounds. The event is sponsored by The Falls Church Episcopal Community Concert Series. Donations will be accepted in support of the Young Musicians Scholarship Fund, which is administered by the Falls Church City Band Boosters.

“We are thrilled to open our beautiful grounds to the community for an afternoon of fun.” said Falls Church Episcopal’s reverend John Ohmer. “This program is part of our on-going commitment to the community, and we are pleased to offer music and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.” For more information, visit thefallschurch.org.
