F.C. AAUW Announces 2015 Scholarship Winners

Falls Church’s chapter of the American Association of University Women awarded eight young women, all of whom are graduating from area high schools, its 2015 scholarships, the organization announced last week. Six of the scholarship recipients, all of whom attend either George Mason, Falls Church or J.E.B. Stuart High School, participated in the American Association of University Women’s awards ceremony on Monday, May 11.

Ashley Brooks, Jasmin Chavez Cruz, Star Danfora, Faria Fara, Tara Holman, Nathalie Nguyen, Shirley Sam and Rain Zhou were the scholarship recipients. The Falls Church chapter of the association raises funds for the scholarships through their annual book sale held at the Falls Church Community Center every April.
