Traffic Accident Near Seven Corners Sends 2-3 To the Hospital

A traffic accident at the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Arlington Boulevard in Fairfax County this morning sent two or three people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. When the News-Press arrived on the scene, one ambulance was headed to a local hospital and three officers were on the scene tending to the accident.

Two cars – a Honda Civic and a Toyota Prius operating for the Yellow Cab company – were severely damaged by the accident, but the police department said that one more vehicle was possibly involved in the accident. The crash was reported to the police department at 10:23 a.m.

According to the police, there is no indication of charges in the accident and the crash report has not been completed. Police officers shut down the part of the overpass to Arlington Boulevard that heads into Arlington County and the top of the off-ramp to Arlington Boulevard that leads into E. Broad Street while the accident was cleared, stopping up traffic during the late morning into the afternoon.
