It was a very sparse turnout Monday night for an extraordinary event at the Falls Church Community Center, an opportunity for citizens to button hole City staff and office holders for detailed answers to questions about the operations of the City government.
The room was almost embarrassingly empty of all but the officials themselves, who wound up mostly talking among themselves for the hour-and-a-half session. Most of the City’s departments and the schools came well prepared with graphs, handouts and well-rehearsed answers for citizen questions, which turned out to be few and far between.
