Falls Church Schools Closed Friday, City Government Open

As the winter storm continues to dump snow on the area, City of Falls Church has cancelled school on Friday, March 6. Day care activities have also been cancelled Friday. The City’s snow emergency, which limited parking along designated routes, was lifted at noon Friday.

The City of F.C. Government will be open as regularly scheduled with employees allowed liberal/unscheduled leave. Morning Recreation & Parks and Library programs are canceled (those scheduled for before noon). The Community Center preschool is closed but activities scheduled for 5 p.m. or later will continue as scheduled. The Library is open until 5 p.m. this evening.

The City asks residents and businesses to review and comply with the City’s snow removal policy, www.fallschurchva.gov/SnowRemoval and help by clearing fire hydrants and storm drains and also check on elderly and disabled neighbors who might need help clearing snow.
