Local Businesses Host ‘Kings for a Cause’ Fundraisers for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Francesca King, a junior at George Mason High School, has partnered with local businesses for two more fundraisers to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and her campaign for to be named the organization’s Student of the Year. King, who’s brother was treated for Tcell acute lymphoblastic leukemia from 2009 – 2012, is trying to raise $15,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The first set of fundraisers are sponsored by Title Boxing Club, located at 450 N. Washington St., Falls Church, who support King’s Student of the Year team “Kings for a Cure.” Title Boxing is offering First Shot Free classes through Feb. 28. Anyone interested can attend a regularly scheduled class free of charge and Title Boxing will make a $3 donation for each new participant, up to $500.

Title Boxing will also give a Box Before the Bowl event on Feb. 1 at 2:30 p.m. For a $20 donation, participants will enjoy a workout, hand wraps and door prizes. For more information about the Title Boxing fundraisers, contact hdallman@titleboxingclub.com.

Argia’s Italian Restaurant, located at 124 N. Washington St., Falls Church, is hosting a proceeds night this Thursday, Jan. 22 to support King’s campaign. Fifteen percent of all proceeds from that night will be donated to Kings for a Cure. For more information about Kings for a Cure, visit the team’s website.
