Police Seek Suspects in Apparent Murder Outside of Falls Church-area Hookah Bar

Darnell Rashard Ford, 20, of Capital Heights, Md. was apparently shot to death last night during a night of celebrations at Safari Shisha Lounge in Bailey’s Crossroads, Fairfax County police reported this afternoon. Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for the apparent homicide, which occurred at 2 a.m. this morning outside of the hookah bar located at 5831 Columbia Pike, Falls Church.

According to the police, Ford was in the parking lot to the rear of the bar when he was shot, and police believe that because there were so many celebrations going on at the club last night that someone has vital information about the shooting. Detectives on the case do not believe that the shooting was a random act and that, therefore, there is no overt threat to public safety.
