Falls Church Mayor David Tarter led the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of a huge 44,000 square foot supermarket, Good Fortune, at Eden Center in the City of Falls Church Tuesday morning, a business with 100 employees that will bring an estimated $500,000 in tax revenues to the City.

City dignitaries, including from City Hall, the City Council and Planning Commission and the Chamber of Commerce were on hand, entertained by a traditional Vietnamese dancing dragon that weaved its way through the wide aisles and by a sumptuous array of appetizers after a brief grand opening ceremony that also doubled as a 30th anniversary celebration of the Eden Center as one of the east coast’s largest concentrations of Vietnamese-American enterprises, over 120 in all.
