Springfield Couple Charged in McLean Stabbing and Home Invasion Robbery

A Springfield couple was charged in the Sunday stabbing of two 61-year-old McLean residents during a home invasion robbery, the Fairfax County Police Department announced this morning.

Andrew and Alecia Schmul of 5918 Attentee Road in Springfield were charged with two counts of abduction and two counts of malicious wounding, Fairfax Police said. They were arrested on Sunday night, shortly after Fairfax County police were alerted to a home invasion and stabbings that occurred on the 900 block of Spencer Road in McLean.

The Schmuls remain in custody in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and both victims of the home invasion and robbery remain hospitalized. Andrew Schmul’s arrest photograph is not available at this time.
