League of Women Voters Hosts Forum on F.C.’s Future

League of Women Voters Falls Church is hosting a program this Sunday, Nov. 16, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the Falls Church Community Center, located at 223 Little Falls St., Falls Church, to continue the community discussion of the proposed uses for the new land Falls Church City acquired in the sale of City’s water system to Fairfax.

They will begin with a brief review of the ideas and the timeline for development that have been put forth by the City’s outside consultant, RTKL Associates, and the Urban Land Institute of Washington’s Technical Assistance Panel.

After the review, there will be breakout sessions for discussion exploring the citizens’ vision for this resource and the City going forward.

Finally, the small groups will report the results of their work to the group as a whole.

The League will summarize the ideas generated during Sunday’s event and share the output from the event with City leadership and management. For more information, visit lwvfallschurch.org.
