Crime Report: String of Vehicle Crimes in F.C. Last Week

There were a string of vehicle-related crimes in the City of Falls Church last week according to the latest F.C. Crime Report. The biggest incident was a vehicle stolen on Tuesday, November 4; the vehicle was later recovered in Washington, D.C. In addition, cash and personal items were stolen from a car on Gundry on Nov. 3, the windows were smashed on a vehicle on S. Maple and someone stole the tires from a vehicle on Seaton Lane.

Also in today’s report, a 44-year old man assaulted a police officer at Eden Center in Falls Church last Saturday. The man, who was also cited for public drunkenness, has no fixed address and was arrested on two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and public drunkenness.

City of Falls Church Crime Report: November 3 – 9, 2104

Attempted Unlawful Entry, 700 block Hillwood Ave. On Nov. 3, police received a report that an unknown person attempted to force entry into a residence.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block Gundry Dr. On Nov. 3, police received a report that an unknown person stole cash and personal items from the victim’s vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle, 300 block St. On Nov. 4, a vehicle was reported stolen and later recovered in the District of Columbia.

Driving Under the Influence, 7100 block Leesburg Pike On Nov. 5, a female, 21, of Springfield, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 100 S. Maple Ave. On Nov. 7, police received a report that an unknown person smashed the victim’s car windows.

Driving Under the Influence, 900 block Hillwood Ave. On Nov. 7, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 29, of Reston,
was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Public Drunkenness, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Nov. 8, a male, 44, no fixed address, was arrested
for two counts of assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Broad St. On Nov. 8, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 29, no know address, was
arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny of Vehicle Parts, 1100 block Seaton Ln. On Nov. 8, police received a report that an  unknown person stole the tires from the victim’s vehicle.

Larceny from Building, 225 E. Broad St. On Nov. 8, police received a report that a bag containing the victim’s personal items were stolen sometime on Nov. 5.

Trespass, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Nov. 9, a male, 45, of Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.
