Symphony Orchestra Opens New Season This Weekend

thern Virginia is opening its 2014-2015 season with a performance of “Carmina Burana” and other selections at Premiered at the Opera House this Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at the George Washington Memorial Masonic Theatre, located at 101 Callahan Dr., Alexandria.

Working with The Metropolitan Chorus, the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia will also perform Rossini’s “William Tell Overture,” Offenbach’s “Orpheus in the Underworld Overture,” and Gounoud’s “Romeo et Juliette Prologue.”

They will also be performing this Sunday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. Tickets for both shows are still available.
