Fairfax Choral Society Opens 2014-2015 Season on Nov. 16

The Fairfax Choral Society is slated for several concerts in the Northern Virginia-Washington, D.C. area over the next two months as part of its 2014-2015 concert season.

The current season opens on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 5:30 p.m. with A Choral Postlude, a concert of sacred music that will be presented in celebration of Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, located at 400 Michigan Ave., Washington, D.C.

The program will be free and open to the public and features the Fairfax Choral Society’s 120-voice Symphonic Chorus. The Fairfax Choral Society also has four concerts scheduled for December, starting with Christmas with FCS: Christmas Comes Anew on Saturday, Dec. 6. That concert will start at 7 p.m. and will take place National City Christian Church, located at 5 Thomas Cir., Washington, D.C.

Season subscription tickets for that concert cost $25 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, advanced tickets cost $30 for adults and $15 for students and door tickets cost $35 for adults and $15 for students.
