
The Friends of the Falls Church Homeless Shelter raised nearly $1,500 at the third annual ShelterRide on Sunday, Oct. 19. The weather was brisk and sunny and brought with it dozens of riders. The funds raised at the event will go towards keeping Falls Church’s homeless residents warm and well-cared for this winter.
The Friends of the Falls Church Homeless Shelter would like to thank everyone who volunteered for, participated in and/or sponsored the event They would also like to send a special thanks to the following: Kristin Gomez of Blue Pop and the Plucker and her band of violin students extraordinaire, Bikenetics, Mike’s Deli at Lazy Sundae, Nourish Market, Blue Nectar Yoga, Eye Level Learning, Lucelo Delgra (Massage Therapist), Stacy Hennessey (Realtor), Urban Pantry Cafe, Roadrunner, George Mason High School National Honor Society members and Junior Girl Scout Troop #3484.
