Shields to Attend Mandates Reform Meeting Thursday

Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields is slated to attend his first meeting of the Governor’s Task Force on Mandates Reform tonight since being appointed by Gov. McAuliffe. The meeting will be held in Midlothian, Virginia. It will address mandates passed by the legislature that often burden localities with the cost of implementation, and one of the biggest cases is in the area of storm water management.

Formerly, Falls Church was represented by past School Board member Joan Wodiska on the body.
