The League of Women Voters of Falls Church is hosting a program on the influence of unlimited spending in election campaigns this Sunday, Oct. 26, from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 130, located at 400 N. Oak St., Falls Church.

The program will examine the impact that unrestricted corporate and private campaign contributions are having on American politics since the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. FEC (2010), which lifted many of the restrictions governing campaign contributions from corporations and special interest political action committees.

The League of Women Voters’ program will review the impact of Citizens United on American democracy and will  include a discussion of what individuals can do in response to that impact. For more information, visit lwvfallschurch.org.
