Falls Church PD Offers Rape Aggression Defense Course

The City of Falls Church Police Department is offering a free rape aggression defense course to teach women self-defense tactics and techniques.

The course is taught by nationally certified rape aggression defense instructors from the City’s police department and is a comprehensive, women-only program that addresses awareness, prevention, risk reduction, risk avoidance and the basics of hands-on self-defense training.

Women ages 12 and up may participate in the four-session course, which will be held on Nov. 10, 12, 18 and 21 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Saint James Catholic School, located at 830 W. Broad St., Falls Church.

There are a limited number of spaces available and participants are required to attend all four sessions. For more information or to register, e-mail ksdempsey@verizon.net or call 703-248-5061.
