Falls Church Arts’ ‘ART 21’ Screening Series Starts Thursday

Falls Church Arts is hosting a series of screenings of the PBS series “ART 21: Art in the Twenty-First Century” at ArtSpace Falls Church, beginning tomorrow night, Oct. 16. The event will start at 7 p.m. for a reception and the screening begins at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Hundreds of screenings will be shown across the United States and around the world in October as part of the ART21 Access’14 initiative. Three more screenings will occur in Falls Church in November and December with panels and interactive discussions.

The artists featured in “ART21: Art in the Twenty-First Century” demonstrate the breadth of artistic practice across the United States and reveal a wealth of inter-generational and multicultural talent. Art21 presents artists speaking directly to the audience with the aim of empowering them to articulate their own interpretations and ideas about art.

Open discussion will follow the one hour screening. The screenings are free and open to all. ArtSpace Falls Church is located at 410 South Maple Avenue, City of Falls Church, VA. For further information email info@fallschurcharts.org, or call Falls Church Arts at 703-679-7881.
