Crime Report: A Car Was Set on Fire on Fowler Street & 2 Arrested for Prescription Fraud

Two people, in separate incidents, were arrested for prescription fraud in the City of Falls Church last week, F.C. police reported in their weekly crime round up released today. The suspects, both 20-year old men from Maryland, are from Bowie and Baltimore and were arrested at Giant Food and CVS respectively.

In other crime, a computer was taken from a car on West Broad, a person broke into a house on Great Falls St., a purse was stolen from a customer at the Falls Plaza Shopping Center, another bike was taken from the 400 block of South Maple and a parked car was set fire on Fowler Street on Sunday.

City of Falls Church Crime Report: October 6 – 12, 2014

Larceny from Building, 300 block Park Ave. On Oct. 6, jewelry was reported stolen sometime after July from an office.

Graffiti, 100 block W. Broad St. On Oct. 7, graffiti were found on city property.

Prescription Fraud, 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On Oct. 7, a male, 20, of Bowie, MD, was arrested for Prescription Fraud.

Attempted Burglary, 400 block Great Falls St. On Oct 7, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into a residence in attempt to gather valuables. No known items were taken.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 800 block W. Broad St. On Oct. 8, a computer was stolen from a parked vehicle.

Noise Violations, 500 block S. Spring St. On Oct. 9, a male, 23, of the City of Falls Church; and a female, 29, of the City of Falls Church, were arrested and released on  summons for a Noise Ordinance Violation.

Prescription Fraud, 134 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Oct. 9, a male, 20 of Baltimore, MD, was arrested for Prescription Fraud.

Larceny from Building, 1230 W. Broad St. On Oct. 10, an unattended purse was stolen from a customer.

Driving Under the Influence, Drinking While Driving, and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 100 block Roosevelt Blvd. On Oct. 11, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 39, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Drinking While Driving, and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Larceny from Building, 400 block S. Maple Ave. On Oct. 11, a bicycle was reported stolen.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 6600 Wilson Blvd. On Oct. 12, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male 40, of North Beach, MD, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Driving Under the Influence and Eluding Police, 100 block W. Broad St. On Oct. 12, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a female, 23, of Leesburg, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Eluding Police.

Public Drunkenness, 934 W. Broad St. (Sunoco Gas) On Oct. 12, a John Doe, 27; and a male, 47, of Manassas, were arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Arson, 1000 block Fowler St. On Oct. 12, an unattended car was set on fire.
