A monarch butterfly rests on top of Stella Farmakides’ head after Cindy Wackerbarth, Dana Shaw, Rosemary Ziskind and Teresa Lim of the Monarch Teacher Network released four monarch butterflies this past Saturday at the Falls Church farmer’s market. The butterflies released on Saturday will migrate to Mexico’s TransAtlantic Mountains, but need way stations for their trip. For directions on how to create a way station, visit monarchwatch.org.
