McLean Community Players Holding Auditions for ‘13’

McLean Community Players (MCP) are looking for seven boys and six girls and ensemble cast members for their production of the musical 13, which will premier at the Alden Theatre on Jan. 30, 2015.

Auditions for children ages 12 and up – as long as the actor can play a 13-year-old – will be held on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at the McLean Community Center.

The play was written by Dan Elish and Robert Horn with music and lyrics were written by Jason Robert Brown.

In it, Evan Goldberg just moved to small-town Indiana from New York City and deals with his parents’ divorce, prepares for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah and has to learn the ropes at a new school.

Auditions for children ages 12 and up – as long as the actor can play a 13-year-old – will be held on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at the McLean Community Center.

MCP asks that all actors bring a headshot and a list of all scheduling conflicts from Sept. 26 – Feb. 15. For more information, visit mcleanplayers.org.
