Fairfax Police Identify Man Murdered in the Culmore Area

Yesterday afternoon, the Fairfax County Police Department identified the man found dead in a parking lot in Falls Church early Monday morning as 27-year-old Filaberto Felipe Paz Ramirez. Police were able to make contact with his family in Guatemala to notify them of Ramirez’s death.

Ramirez had suffered trauma to his upper body, but police would not release information about the cause of his death. The police said that upon further investigation, they can no longer rule out that the murder of Ramirez was a random act. They have cautioned residents of the Culmore neighborhood to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity.

Fairfax County police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call 703-691-2131, contact Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477 or text “TIP187” plus your message to 274637.
