Letters to the Editor: Thanks to Community for Police Unity Tour Support

Thanks to Community for Police Unity Tour Support

On behalf of Chief Mary Gavin and myself, we would like to thank the Falls Church community for their generous support for last month’s Police Unity Tour. The strong community partnerships make The Little City a wonderful place to live and work. Specifically, we thank the Falls Church News-Press, the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce, Clare & Don’s Beach Shack, Art & Frame of Falls Church, Eden Center, Falls Church Yellow Cab and Vantage Fitness. Gary LaPorta with his large banner and entourage were excellent motivators as our chapter passed Seven Corners on our last leg to Washington. Through your support, we honored those officers who have fallen in the line of duty and support their surviving families. They are very thankful to know the officers’ legacies are not forgotten. Falls Church Police honored the following officers this year: Sgt. Derek Johnson, Draper City, UT, Chief Michael Patrick Maloney Greenland, NH and Ofc. Jennifer Lynn Sebena Wauwatosa, WI.

No Longer Dine, Shop in City of F.C. Because of Towing

I lived in the City of Falls Church for many years and moved to neighboring Falls Church, just outside the City limits. I no longer dine or use retail in Falls Church City because of the parking situation and the predatory towing. I’m sure this is the case for many people.
