Suicide Prevention Talk Set for F.C. Chamber Luncheon

Dominion Hospital social worker India Walsh, MSW will present “Because Life Matters: Preventing Suicide Through Identification and Treatment” at the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce’s June 17 Networking Luncheon. Suicide is one of the leading causes of preventable death in our nation today. Approximately 100 young people each week are lost to this tragedy that can be prevented. Walsh will share resources and supports available through the community to assist with this epidemic.

The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at the Italian Café, 7161 Lee Highway in Falls Church. Tickets secured in advance are $27 for members, $32 for nonmembers. An additional $5 will be charged for walk-ins should space be available.
