Starry Night Shines for F.C. Education Foundation Gala

The Falls Church Education Foundation’s 10th annual gala, themed “Starry, Starry Night,” saw 350 guests enjoy an evening last month at Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington in support of the foundation and the programs it funds throughout the City’s public schools. The evening generated a record fundraising effort, netting more than $100,000 for the foundation.

Funds were raised by an extensive silent auction of items donated by local businesses and friends, and a live auction conducted by celebrity auctioneer, George Mason High School alumni and City resident David Quinn of Quinn’s Auction Galleries.

Guests heard live music provided by local bands including the acclaimed George Mason High School jazz band, and enjoyed food and drinks provided by local sponsors. Guests were then able to try their hand at the casino tables to win raffle tickets.

The Falls Church Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises, manages and distributes funds to enhance and enrich the education of students in the Falls Church City Public Schools.
