McLean’s Alex Stone Earns Lead Musical Actor Cappies Award

McLean High School’s Alex Stone was named the best lead actor in a musical at the 15th annual Cappies Gala at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday.

Stone earned the honor for his performance as young con artist Frank Abagnale Jr. in the McLean Theatre Company’s April performance of the musical “Catch Me If You Can.”

McLean High also earned honors for its critics team, and Emma Paquette (front row, left) received the returning critic award.

The Cappies of the National Capital Area hosts the gala to recognize local high school theater achievements.
