F.C. Native Jeff Burnett Dies at Age 50

415obitJeff Burnett died on June 1, 2014, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. He was 50 years old.

Jeff is survived by his former wife, Ingrid; his daughters, Emily and Grace; his parents, Nancy and Ken; his brother, Bob, and Bob’s family, Susan, Thomas, and Jenna.

Jeff grew up in Falls Church and graduated from George C. Marshall High School. He then graduated from Ohio University.

Jeff’s body was donated for medical research.

On June 14, 2014, from 10 a.m. – noon at the Broadway Condominium, 502 W. Broad St., Falls Church, friends and family members are encouraged to gather informally and to remember the good times they shared with Jeff. (Visitors should use the Lee Street entrance to the building.)

Education funds have been established in Emily’s and Grace’s names. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Branch or sent to Wells Fargo c/o Burnett Education Fund, 400 S. Colorado Blvd., Ste. 100, Glendale, CO, 80246. Also, if desired, contributions may be sent to The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (In memory of Jeff Burnett), P.O. Box 807, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
