State Del. Patrick Hope, one of the three most active candidates seeking the Democratic nomination in the 8th Congressional District to fill the seat being vacated by Rep. Jim Moran, reported via Facebook today that he’s suffered a broken rib that “may force me to rest a few days.” Hope said in his post, “I’ve knocked on nearly 13,000 doors in 5 years surviving a couple ankle sprains, a few misjudged stairs, a dog bite and I’ve never missed a beat. A rib break, however, may force me to rest a few days. but not much longer.”
There are just over two weeks remaining until the June 10 primary with a total of seven candidates still in the running.
